I JUST WATCHED THE GOLDEN COMPASS YESTERDAY!

And I was (and still) very disappointed with the movie.

With two of the biggest stars - Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig to grace the movie, and with such a fantastical trailer, I was absolutely sure that the movie was bound to be awesome. Heck, even my mom wanted to watch it because of Nicole and Daniel. But, the movie turned out to be awful.

I don't know about the book but Mish told me that the book was amazing. Too bad the movie turned out to be.....very very disappointing. Even after watching the whole movie, I still find the storyline to be quite vague. What is 'Dust'? That's the question people have been asking at the starting of the movie. Even the main character herself. However the answer was scarcely stated at all.

I think I'll really have to read the book to understand more. The movie just left me feeling really blur. More like, EXTREMELY BLUR. OMG And I just rememebered - VINA, you HAVE the book don't you??? Northern Lights. That's THE GOLDEN COMPASS. LEND IT TO MEH. PWEETY PWEASE *shows puppy eyes*

Okay well, the movie is not that all awful. One thing that impressed me the most was the beautiful city designs.

valentine's day Its just like those huge imposing cities from those Final Fantasy games. Final Fantasy XII, to be exact. I wanna live in those type of cities!!!! Too bad, Malaysia will be needing a hell lot of futuristic-thinking architects to construct nice cities like the picture above.

I like this vehicle =) Not sure what's it called though.

My favourite scene was the fight between the two ice bears. Iorek Byrnison and Ragnar Sturlusson. Phew. Its so hard to get their names spelt correct. Well anyway, the fight was absolutely spectacular! I nearly cried when Iorek was about to lose =(

This is Iorek Byrnison. My fave character in the show. And YES, its an ice bear! A talking one. I love fluffy animals.

I never really liked Nicole Kidman. My parents keep saying that she's REALLY beautiful but her features are too fierce for my liking. But I like how they did her make up in The Golden Compass.

Blonde hair and blue eyes.... I've always wanted to have those features. And I'm starting to be really fond of Daniel Craig. His eyes are soooooo blue that I can almost drown in them lol. Thank god he shaved half way in the movie. He looks better clean-shaven. In fact, ALL MEN DO.

Now my next movie to watch - Enchanted. Should be better than the Golden Compass.
