British Sea Power were received with a bit more hesitation and curious wonder, clearly still in the midst of building up a North Carolina fanbase. The audience reacted favorably to a few of the more popular songs from the band's recent record Do You Like Rock Music?, but didn't really wake up until the monstrous seventeen minute version of "Carrion" that closed the set. Words can not express my love for the music of British Sea Power - on record, live, in music videos, whatever; therefore, pictures, video, MP3s, and coverage of their two shows this weekend in NYC will have to suffice.

*alright, I didn't really throw a tantrum... but I have listened to "My Punishment For Fighting" more times than you can even imagine. Must hear that song again live. Must!
