Last watched: Tales of the Abyss episode 18
Ohmigosh this weekend was absolutely crazy.I swear, World War III just broke out in the cinema today.
400+ customers flooding the cinema's foyer every 2 hours. Everyone was running around the popcorn bar like mad chickens, busy filling up popcorn buckets, grabbing snacks and drinks, etc.
But even though the number of admits today did not exceed 6000, it was harrowing.
I dare not imagine how it was like last year during CNY. I've checked the number of admits for last year's CNY. 7000+. Thanks to Stephen Chow's movie, CJ7.
Today's madness was all thanks to Malaysia's first 3D animated film - Geng: Upin & Ipin. All the shows today were full house!! Even the morning show!!
valentine's day First time seeing a SOLD OUT word on my computer screen.
Yukana and I went into the cinema just to check out how a full house cinema looked like. When I went in, I was like "Eh, why is it so hot, something wrong with the air-con?"
And ho, right before me, was a hall of eager audiences exchanging carbon dioxides with each other. Damn freakin' congested.
But in the end, Yukana and I laughed till our sides hurt when watching the show. Even when we stumbled out of the cinema, we were still bending over with hysterical laughter so loud, that even Navin, who was standing right at the end of the corridor, could hear us.
Popcorn bar scene I.
Two foreign customers came to the counter and ordered their stuff.
After receiving the money and giving back their change, they mumbled something.
Foreign customers: terimakasih.
Me: Huh?
Foreign customers: terimakasih.
Me: Oh! You want a plastic? *grabs plastic bag and gives it to them*
Foreign customers: Erm, do you speak Bahasa (Melayu)?
Me: Yup.
Foreign customers: Te. Ri. Ma. Ka. Sih. It means Thank You right?
Me: OH!!!! I'm so sorry. *awkwardly reaches forward to take back the plastic bag*
How embarrassing. My colleagues were all laughing at me.
And that was when Suzzane told me last time, two foreign customers came to her counter too. They said 2 mineral water. But she heard 2 Ninja Turtle. LOL!!! This is just one of the times when working at the popcorn bar I get to laugh my ass off.

Me: *playing with the ice absent-mindedly*
Suzzane: Amanda, one regular popcorn *hands popcorn bucket over*
Me: *grabs ice and was about to put the ice into the popcorn bucket and fill it with coke until Suzzane screamed*
Suzzane: What are you doing????
And only then I realized what I was about to do and laughed.
Tele-sales room scene I
Mun Hon: *talking on the phone with a customer*
Me, Yukana, Bee Vee and Kevin were in the room lazing around, chatting.
Mun Hon: Okay, so sekarang I repeat you punya booking ya. *repeats booking* Booking number kamu ialah,[insert random booking number here]. Sila datang 1 jam lebih awal untuk ambil tiket. Sekian, terima kasih.
There was a very short pause in the room before everyone bursted out laughing at Mun Hon.
Like seriously? If you're calling to TGV to book tickets and the person says "Sekian, terima kasih." to you, you'd laugh right??
