valentine's day KDU Journal 7

During Sociology class today

Ms. Ruby:

"If someone keeps telling you you're pretty then you'll really think that you're pretty. And if someone keeps telling you you're stupid like, 'Hey badak! Why you so stupid??' Then you'll also think that you're as stupid as a badak."

When everyone was merely giggling at the joke, I was lol'ing in my heart. 5S9 inside joke. But then again, there was no one whom I can tell the joke to.

If Ms. Ruby were to crack that joke in my class last year:

I would probably be guffawing with Agnes and exchange nasty jokes.
June would also probably be lol'ing.
Vina would probably say "Aiyer you guys are so mean."
Mayshan would probably just laugh and shrug it off.
Wennie would probably be whispering with Jin Yee while laughing.
And Tracy would probably just roll her eyes at the immature snickering around her.

Those were the days....

Oh and it's confirmed. My birthday is during the mid-term test.

Like, ohmygodwhatthefucknotagainscrewthisall.

But at least the world is being slightly merciful to me as 15th May is the last day of the mid-term test. First time having my birthday somewhere else other than my hometown.

The first serious Public Speaking assignment has finally landed its big glorious ass on us.

Assignment #1: Team Assignment (30%)

You will form a group of 3 – 4 people. This is your presentation team. You are to present a 6 minute business presentation. Your topic is:

• Proposal for a new TV show for the channel KDU-TV.

You are to create your own TV show/series for this assignment. Your purpose is to inform the audience about this new TV show (what it’s all about) and why it will be a hit among the viewers of KDU-TV.

You are to have a proper introduction, have 3 main points with 2 supporting points each. A conclusion that ties together your presentation is essential. A professional appearance is mandatory. Your target audience is the Board of Directors of KDU-TV and this role will be played by your classmates.

You must be prepared for a Question & Answer session after your presentation as the Board of Directors will be asking questions. How well you answer the questions will be taken into consideration when your assignment is graded.

OMG man. A new TV show? If it's that easy I'd probably be a producer/director already. Eh, Manda, think I would look like a killer lawyer like you in a formal suit? Haha!
