Two things I wanted to do today. Eat cupcakes and practice my food photography. When I heard about Robicellis new flavors this week, I immediately went to their Tumblr to find what's the closest place I could get them in Brooklyn. I stopped by Blue Apron Foods in Park Slope and bought the Butterbeer (Butterscotch-soaked cake, butterscotch buttercream, edible gold dust) and Mocha Almond Turtle (Almond mocha cake, salted caramel mocha buttercream, roasted almonds, ganache, salted caramel).

When I arrived at New Work City to work, I wanted to take photos of the cupcakes. As I learned from a panel discussion on food photography last month, food is best taken in natural light with white background. There was some great light by the window and I snapped a few pictures.
