Yes, I'm still in love.In love with my job!!
Even though thanks to it, I'm currently plagued with a killer sorethroat and one, no, two ulcers. One near the top of my lip, the other one somewhere under my tongue. Ugh, it's horrible.
Working at the ticket counter at 9.30am - 6pm for 2 days has totally killed my mouth. Met a hell lot of stupid customers which made me feel like punching the shit outta them.
You know above the ticket counter, there are 4 display screens which shows you the list of shows and their screening time. It's so easy, you come to the cinema, look at the screens, and buy your tickets.
Yet there are still customers (especially those Canto-speaking people) who come to my counter and ask, "Eh, xiu jie, gam mat yau meh hou hei tai ah?" (Eh, miss, any good movies today?)

I really feel like saying "Tai xiong bin la! Lei mang gah?" (Why don't you just look above? Are you bloody blind?) to them, but for the sake of keeping a good impression, I patiently told them the movies that the cinema's showing. Bloody stupid people and their stupid questions.
The ticket counter is a busy busy place during weekends and public holidays. Customers will come non-stop. So don't waste MY time and saliva by asking me stupid questions. I have no time for that. Oh and FYI, so do the customers behind YOU.
Woooooooo. Super long rant number 1.
Okay, so back to the story of me suffering from a sore throat. I was suppose to work at tele-sales yesterday, answering the phone calls and all, but I don't wanna risk getting throat cancer after that. Thank God the manager switched me to be a runner at the popcorn bar.
And apparently, almost everyone's sick. Mun Yee has a sore throat and her voice is very hoarse. Mun Hon has a flu. Yukana has a flu too cause she contracted it from him. Sau Yin was down with a slight cold. My dear Afif had a flu as well! OMG. Well, I fit in :D Haha. I lost my voice yesterday morning. Tracy was the unaffected one and she was in extreme terror of contracting several kinds of illnesses from us.
I was desperate in seeking methods to do away with my sore throat because in my life's history, everytime when I have sore throat, the next thing who will visit (or in this case, invade) me is Mr. Fever. Drank two tanks of water, ate mints, drank coke added with salt...... The coke with salt was sorta effective but after I regained my voice, I screamed Afif's name till I lost my voice again -_-
Woooooooo. Super long rant number 2.
When it was almost time for the night staff to take over, Keet & Mun Hon were talking about this really perverted thing about the Emperor of China. Keet said that the Emperor had 3000 concubines.
And so, let's say he had sex with each of them every day. 1 week, rest for one day. So in 365 days, he would rest for 54 days. And that makes 311 days of sex for him every year.
Keet said he personally calculated them all, and deduced that the Emperor of China needs almost 10 years to "be done" with all of his concubines. 10 YEARS OF GODDAMN SEX.
Ahem.
So that was super random and perverted rant number 1.
One more thing...
Yukana slipped and fell on her butt at the popcorn bar!
Poor darling. Thanks to her moment of clumsiness, her knee is now swollen. To add more salt to the wound, she fell in front of the manager! OMG. He walked away but she could hear him laugh from afar O.o She then told Suzzane about that, and Suzzane laughed like a mad hyena!
I think she's probably the first person in TGV History to fall down at the popcorn bar, judging from the funny expressions..... Cause you know what happened later? When they were all in the manager room, Tracy, Suzzane and Siew Hui asked the manager to rewind the scene recorded by the CCTV just to see how she fell on her butt O.o
I truly feel sorry for ye *winces* To have your moment of pain and embarrassment recorded forever by the CCTV. And I think I'm salting your wound again so I shall stop :)
And that was super long rant number 3.
To end this ridiculous post of mine, here's a snippet of a conversation between me and Yukana.
"Eh, Amanda, I dreamt of Setsuna last night!!"
"OMG! What did you dream??"
"I dunno, I've forgotten. It's all so blur. I just remember that he couldn't open a door, so I went to open the door for him..."
. . . . . .
Well let me tell you this, which I've failed to tell you yesterday, I've dreamt of Setsuna and Tieria making love before. WAHAHAHAHA. Blame it on the hormones. *runs away*
