I was at a party the other night and met a tattoo artist, Jess Versus of Glamour Garage Salon and Tattoo Parlour in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. While I got my first tattoo this year (not a cupcake, alas), I don't tend to encounter too many people with cupcake tattoos, but at this party, I met her, and another woman she had inked with cupcakes and other desserts.

The best part about her tattoo is that she tattooed it on her ankle herself! Check it out:

Even on a bad day cupcake tats make me smile and feel good. Something about seeing the icon of the cupcake inked permanently (or even temporarily) on someone's skin is cool, and uplifting.
