How colorful and creative! I'm not sure if this was homemade but I think it's cute. And doable at home.

valentine's day Turkey cupcakes from Paris

These turkey cupcakes are by Sugar Daze Cupcakes (via Flickr) who writes:

Cupcakes prepared for a show here in France called 100% Mag on channel M6. A client is being filmed as she prepares a traditional Thanksgiving meal and she wanted these as a special treat for her kids.

These are Rogue cupcakes with hand-made marzipan and sugarpaste toppers.

I must give credit where it is due and thank Mary at Epiphany Cupcakes on whose page I spied these turkeys last year and was itching for a chance to recreate them!

valentine's day In preparation for turkey day...

Can I be honest with you? I feel I can. I hate Thanksgiving. It has always royally sucked for me and I don't recall a single good Thanksgiving experience in my past. If I could skip it, I would! As a vegetarian, I do like the harvest festival idea, but not many of my friends and family members subscribe. Regardless, I love the fall and holiday theme and images from the holiday, and these adorable and well-crafted turkey day cupcakes by Sugar Daze are perfect.

valentine's day Thanksgiving turkey cupcake with a Nutter Butter and candy corn, plus Baked Alaska ice cream-filled cupcakes

The always-creative Jeanne Benedict has given her spin to the Thanksgiving turkey cupcake. She writes:

Sweet yes; yet ominous too. Obvious candies give this holiday cupcake his character. What I mean are his eyes made from the tips of candy corns and a dab of frosting. Somehow, when I photographed it, it stared back as if to say, “Don’t even think of eating me as a cupcake or otherwise.” Your kids will love, love, love this turkey cupcake. Basically, you turn a frosted cupcake on its side, stick a Nutter Butter Cookie in it and then feather it with candy corns to make an adorable holiday cupcake. I used a red fruit roll-up as his wattle.

And the Baked Alaska cupcakes (click for recipe) have ice cream inside them!
