valentine's day I'm hired!!!

Listening to: Yousei - May'n
Last watched: Vampire Knight ~Guilty~ episode 9

I'm proud to announce that...

Amanda Vi Britannia is HIRED!!!!!!!

Bwahahahaha. I'll be working in TGV Cinemas starting from next Tuesday. So don't be shocked if you see me at the ticket counter asking you what show you wanna watch, or at the candy bar asking what you wanna order.

3.20 bucks per hour. Not too bad for a part-time job.

And of course, the best thing is the staff benefit. Every 5 days you work you will be given a Staff Voucher, which basically means like a free movie ticket. Free movies! Yay!

It's time to fatten up that crying purse of mine.

I attended the interview with Tracy and she got hired as well, of course. I was one whole bag of nerves because it was my first job interview and I had no idea what to expect -_-

*Manager's office door creaks open*

*looks at us*

Manager: "Are you here for the interview?"

Me: "Erm, uh, yeah."

Manager: "Come in."

Me: *gulps*

Manager: *looks at Tracy* "Is that girl with you?"

Me: "Yeah."

Manager: "Ask her to come in as well."

AFTER SITTING DOWN...

Manager: "So, Amanda, tell me about yourself."

Me: O.O "I've just graduated from high school, just finished SPM."

Manager: "That's all? What are your hobbies?"

Me: "Uh...I love to read and write stories. I like to watch movies. And I also like to watch... animes..."

Manager: "Excuse me? Iron Man? Oh that's nice."

Me: O.o "No, no. It's like, erm, Japanese animations."

Manager: "Oh, okay."

He asked me a few more questions like, why do you wanna work, why choose TGV, blah blah blah, but I was too nervous to remember what I answered. Then the Manager proceeded to interview Tracy. And so, just like that, we're hired! HIRED. Woohooo!

He gave us a briefing about our job - Customer Relations Officer. That sounded really professional, eh? There are 4 posts: the ticket counter, the phone booth, the candy bar, and the one tearing the tickets when people enter.

Oh and he said this while looking at us straight in the eye. "You're not allowed to watch free movies during work. Work is work."

Darn, and I was expecting that privilege.

He also said: "You cannot give your friends free movies. When they know you work here, they'll surely ask you for free movies. Tell them, NO."

Gosh. That was intimidating. You heard that, guys? :)

Lesson learnt: I seriously have to maintain my composure during interviews and not look like a total retard.
