The slightly larger than regular cupcakes were a perfect size to share for an afternoon snack. We decided to indulge in two, halving them so we could each try both.
valentine's day The red velvet was fantastic. Moist while still being fluffy with the proper distinct flavor that red velvet should have. The cream cheese frosting was the topic of quite a bit of debate between my mother and I. She immediately declared her love for the rich frosting while I immediately wrote it off as being too sweet. Bite after bite it began to grow on me and I have to admit that it is in fact one of the better commercial cream cheese frostings I have consumed. Moms know best.
valentine's day The bavarian cream was a clear favorite - moist white cake filled with bavarian cream filling and topped with chocolate ganache. The bavarian cream aided in creating the ideal balance of crumbly and creamy and perfectly balanced the sweet ganache.
