Sprinkles of Sugar Cupcakes officially opened on Nov. 20, 2010, offering cakes by special order and focusing on their cupcake creations. Self-taught bakers, the pair said what makes their cupcakes unique is their willingness to try any flavor suggested and do everything to make sure that flavor tastes like what a person would expect.

Some of the cupcakes they've recently "dreamed up" include maple-bacon, banana split and banana pudding.

"When we do our banana pudding, I don't want it to taste like a banana cupcake with banana icing -- it's going to taste like banana pudding," Anderson said.

Most of the ideas for their cupcakes are the result of the pair just dreaming of what they could do next. But some are suggested by customers and family members.

"My cousin came up with the idea for our white chocolate strawberry -- white-chocolate cake with strawberry filling and white-chocolate cream-cheese frosting with a strawberry glaze drizzle and white-chocolate shavings on top," Kee said.

Today's flavors, also via Facebook, are:

Strawberry, Red Velvet, Simply White, Simply Chocolate, Twilight, Eclipse, Mississippi Mud, Lemon Drop, and Boston Cream.
