With just over a week until the big day we have exceeded out goal of 15,000 cupcakes pledged! To ensure everyone has room to enjoy their cupcakes we have decided to move the event to a bigger venue. Cupcake Camp Montreal will now take place on Sunday November 21, 2010 from 1-5pm at Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth.

Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth
900 Rene Levesque Boulevard West
Montreal, QC H3B 4A5

Name ring a bell? The Queen Elizabeth hotel is where John Lennon and Yoko Ono held their famous 1969 Bed In. We also hope to make a bit of history of and spread the love by raising lots of money for or our awesome charities Kids Help Phone and Tablee des Chefs but we can't do it ourselves!

valentine's day Cupcake Camp Montreal - 21 NOV 2010 valentine's day

To make this event a success we need not only cupcake bakers but also cupcake eaters. A $10 donation entitles attendees to admission to the event, 3 cupcakes, and a gourmet coffee. Additional cupcakes can be purchased on site at a cost of $2 for one cupcake, $5 for 3 cupcakes, or $10 for 7 cupcakes.

We don’t want any leftovers so we need A LOT of people to attend the event to eat all 15,000 cupcakes. If you haven’t already done so please “Like” Cupcake Camp Montreal on Facebook, RSVP to the event, and most importantly invite all your friends and family to attend! You can also spread the word about the event on Twitter.

One last announcement, as if this wasn't already BIG enough news, thanks to Innobec Technologies Inc. we have a Cupcake Camp Montreal iPhone App which is now available for FREE from the iTunes App Store. Download it today!

valentine's day Rachel in Los Angeles this weekend

A reminder that I, Rachel, will be in Los Angeles this weekend from Friday-Sunday, so my posting from now through then may be light, but I will be covering CupcakeCamp LA on Saturday and would love to meet readers! I don't drive, so my planning of bakery visits is a little iffy, but I'm looking forward to checking out some ones I've missed in my travels. I'm staying in downtown LA - if any bakeries want to get in touch, email me at cupcakestakethecake at gmail.com - the best time for me to meet is at or before/after CupcakeCamp LA on Saturday, but I may have time Friday and Sunday.
