Come celebrate six years of cupcake blogging with Cupcakes Take The Cake with a fun party at the new Brooklyn Winery in Williamsburg. Come party with founding editors Rachel Kramer Bussel and Nichelle Stephens as well as contributing editor Stacie Joy and columnist Melissa Zhang. There will be cupcakes, cupcakes and more cupcakes! Plus there will be a raffle for cupcake-related goodies like cookbooks, cupcake ornaments, and much more. A portion of the proceeds will go to Cancer Care.

Jelly bean company Jelly Belly is hosting a $10,000 Cupcake Challenge, where you decorating cupcakes using jelly beans and can win prizes.

They also feature cupcake decorating recipes and YouTube videos about cupcake decorating by What's New, Cupcake? and Hello, Cupcake! authors Karen Tack and Alan Richardson, showing you how to make the cupcakes shown below and many others.

valentine's day Cupcake Piping Contest at our Seattle Birthday Bash!

Calling all cupcake makers!!!  

We are looking for people who are interested in participating in the Cupcake Piping Contest (Sponsored by Trophy Cupcakes & Lucks Food Decorating Company) at our Seattle Birthday Bash!

We need amateurs and professionals who want to show off their cupcake piping and decorating skills!  Each participant will have 1 minute to choose embellishments & plan their cupcakes.  Then they will have 2 minutes to pipe frosting & decorate 12 cupcakes!

Winners will receive:

• Bragging Rights! 
• The title of "BEST Cupcake Piper in Western Washington"
• A certificate
• A cupcake prize! (to be announced at the party!)

Each participant will also get to keep the cupcakes they decorate!

Winners will be chosen by a fantastic group of judges!  Carrie Middlemiss of Bella Cupcake Couture, Jessie Oleson of CakeSpy.com, April Bakula of Goodies Bake Shop and Betsy Eves of JavaCupcake.com! They will choose a winner based on originality, technique and overall appearance. 

Trophy Cupcakes will be providing the cupcakes and frosting and Lucks Food Decorating Company will supply the embellishments and decorations for the contest! 

Our 6th Birthday Bash will take place Tuesday, December 7, 7-9:30pm at Chopstix in Seattle, WA.
