valentine's day OH Baby!

Spring has sprung and baby fever is in the air...

The Jetplanes have been discussing babies alot lately. But with Mr. knee deep in flight school and a potential deployment occurring in December (yeah that's right, I said December), right now its not in the cards.

Earlier this week Mr. asked me the following question that was sort of off putting, "Why do you want to have a baby?"

Why do I want to have a baby....hmm...

I want to start a family with this man that I love more than anything in this world.
I want to have a baby because I turn 30 in June and I have totally irrational fears that I won't be able to have a baby.
I want to bring something into this world that is a combination of the two of us and our love.

And DAMN IT I just want one... but I'm scared to death, I'll admit it. SCARED TO DEATH about having a child. Scared about how I would handle the load of a child with everything else in my life....especially with future deployments that lie ahead.

Sometimes my crazy mind drifts into the nightmares of seeing myself at home trying to work full time like I do now, with 2 kids, 2 dogs, housework, cooking, etc. all by myself when my husband is deployed...and that causes me some serious heart palpitations.

I know plenty of women do it, heck I may work part time or none at all, who knows, but the fear of that unknown shakes me to my core sometimes...

I know I'm not the only one out there. And I know there are plenty of women, mil wife and non-mil wife, that juggle and struggle through the day to day of having kids, work, home life, heck even a social life...I know I'm going to be looking to them as my role models.

valentine's day Hello Mr. Jetplane's Mouth...Insert Foot

valentine's day valentine's day
So I love my husband. He's a great guy. He's a funny guy. And if you know him in real life, you'd know he's a guy that doesn't always think before opening his mouth. I've tried to teach him about this, and he is getting better around other people, when its just him and me...thoughts enter his head and then come right out his big ol mouth.

So I'll set the scene for you...

Jetplanes both worked late last night and I needed to pick up my prescription the store nearby. So we decided to go eat some pizza. While eating our salads and Mr. enjoying a beer, I commented on how pissed I am that our base selection night got moved AGAIN...(yeah we're not finding out tomorrow, its been pushed to Monday). He asked why I am so upset about it.

Me: "I really feel like our lives have been on hold. We can't make any next steps in our lives until we find out where we're going."

Mr: "Yeah so if we find out we're going to Idaho we can work on getting you knocked up?"
(ever my eloquent husband, right?)

Me: "Yeah, maybe. But not until after my birthday...I want to get drunk!"

Mr: (rolling his eyes) "Whatever you say..."

So time passes and we get our pizza. Mr is also notorious for having conversations with himself inside his head and then saying something out loud like you should know what he is talking about....like you were participating with him in the 5 minute conversation he's been having with himself about the yard, or picking up the dogs' medicine, or even worse flight school stuff...

I digress, time has passed and out of no where I hear...

Mr: "I can't wait to build forts!"

Me: "What?"

Mr: "Yeah I can't wait to build forts, climb rocks, take him camping"

Me: "Huh?"

Mr: "Our future baby...I can't wait to build forts him and sleep in tents..."

Me: "Well I sure hope SHE likes to go camping!"

Mr: "HE"

Me: "SHE"

Mr: "Whatever as long as we don't have a "Hot" daughter, I'm fine!"

Me: "Excuse me...our daughter will be pretty."

Mr: "Yeah, well I don't want a 'very pretty' daughter, cute is good. I want a cute daughter."

Me: "What are you talking about?"

Mr: "Very Pretty Girls are whores and marry old men."

Me: "You are insane."

Mr: "No I'm serious, very pretty girls date old men and marry them for money."

Me: "Really, so I married you I guess that mean I'm not really pretty then."

Mr: "I'm talking about 10s here..."

Me: "Oh really...so I'm not a 10"

Mr: "UGHHHH...you know what I mean."

Yes, there is my foot in mouth husband....

valentine's day Barefoot & Pregnant

If any of my fine readers follow me via Twitter (you don't have to but if you want to...well that's cool by me) you'll already be well aware that I have a slight addiction to Teen Mom on MTV. Ok, a slight addiction might be a lie, ok a blatant lie, because I am a full blown addict to Teen Mom and its predecessor for 16 & Pregnant (oh and the Pregnancy Pact, and those 2 teen pregnancy movies on Lifetime the one with Kirsten Dunst and the one with Brian Austin Green...come on you know those too..you don't have to lie about it, we're all friends here...)

Yes, my name is Mrs. Jetplane, I'm 29, married, and a proud parent of 2 furbabies and I have a serious addiction to any and all shows about teen pregnancy. I hope the youth of America is as drawn to these shows as I am.

I'll be honest when I watch them, sometimes I'm like "DAMN...Gina.... I'm so not mature enough to have a baby right now!!" Yeah that's right, you heard me...I question if I'm ready to have children and I hope, no I pray, that these young kids who watch this show realize what a HUGE ASS responsibility being a parent is.

I also hope that while watching this show:

1. More pregnant teens realize that adoption is a very valid option for them.
2. Farrah sees that hanging out with dudes all the time, isn't where its at.
3. Amber and Gary both realize that they both need attitude adjustments.
4. Ryan's parents realize that their son is a giant bum and isn't helping their grandson AT ALL.
5. Maci realizes that Ryan is a huge WASTE of time.
6. Tyler and Catelynn live happily ever after.

valentine's day Oh Baby...

This is a post about babies... NO! I repeat NO! The Jetplanes aren't pregnant but it sure feels like everyone else is.

And just to make myself clear.... I am over the moon happy for them. But its still a weird conversation, because as I've stated before, I'm still a little immature about the situation (even though I am 29 yrs old). And I still feel like in some ways we aren't old enough to start having babies yet...even though I totally know that we are. I never said I was rational in my thought process about this...

Its just crazy because we've went through years of people NOT wanting to get pregnant and now you are in a time where people are wanting/trying to get pregnant.

Here's how the convo went down...

Lou: "I'm pregnant!!"
Me: "OMG! Really! Seriously! I'm so... wait are we excited? We are excited, right?"
Lou: "Yes! We're happy! It wasn't planned but we're happy!"
Me: "Great! Because I'm totally crying over here! I'm so happy for you guys!"

Its still strange because I feel like, even though we've all been out of college for going on 7 years now...wow 7 years... I still feel like we're those young college girls in our black minis, backless shirts, and knee high black boots...going out hitting the town, doing shots, and dancing to techno music until 5 in the morning...

But (un)fortunately we are not... Our alcohol tolerance has decreased and our skirt lengths have increased but our love for one another has always remained the same.

Now...when are the Jetplanes going to have a baby? Not for some time...

valentine's day There's no crying in Sailing...

Well there was on Saturday... by yours truly...

Due to my utter craziness at work right now, I'll try to blog about it later today.

Also coming up soon.... blog posts about...

True Blood last night.... Eric I love you.

Jetplanes discussions about babies and potential overseas station... Jetplanes + England = no babies for some time....

valentine's day The TALK...

The Jetplanes have been having THE TALK and by THE TALK I am referring to the BABY TALK. If you've read my blog for a while you'll know that I'm scared to have kids and I'm pretty sure I'm not old enough, even though I am almost 29 years old. Yes, I know I'm physically old enough, but I'm talking about the important stuff...emotionally, spiritually, mentally, etc. etc.

Just because people (i.e. kids) can have children doesn't mean they should, right? I'm still freaked out by the whole idea of something growing inside me, yes... I told you I was immature about this.

Do I want children... the answer is YES. Does Mr. Jetplane want kids that would be a double YES. When do we want to have them... that is the question. I'm almost 30 and we want to have 2 kids. And I have this irrational fear of not being able to conceive. Also, I had my palm read earlier this year and the woman told me I'd have 2-3 miscarriages in my life. Yes, she could be a total freaking con artist, but still that just feeds my fear.

We move to NC at the end of August. Mr. Jetplane will be in intensive training for 9 months, we're talking 12 to 14 hours day of school and studying (which has to be done on base, since its all "super secret", that what I referred to classified as" having a child, and by having it I mean physically giving birth to it and raising it during those 9 months, is totally OUT OF THE QUESTION. But that being said, getting knocked up during those 9 months could be possible, however unlikely since said training will consume our lives.

So yes... we're getting closer to actually being ready to think about starting to try to have kids. Yes, I know this may seem strange but for us its a big step, ok for ME its a big step. Mr. Jetplane is a big kid, so he's totally fine and not freaked out in the least bit.

We're both going to be 29 shortly, celebrating our 1 year anniversary, and will have been together 5 years in August. So a baby Jetplane may be making an appearance in the next year or so... wow its weird thinking about this.

valentine's day Question for the peanut gallery...

As I have said, people all around me are getting pregnant but Mrs. Jetplane is not ready to add her name to the list just yet.

Well, yesterday I found out a co-worker's teenage daughter is pregnant. To add to this drama, this girl was previously pregnant last year but lost the baby. I was shocked to hear she was pregnant again and past the 1st trimester. My co-worker told me that her daughter thinks its this status thing, and all her friends are pregnant.

The first words out of my mouth were, "She needs to go to therapy. She is looking for some form of unconditional love and thinks its going to come from a child. She's 16 and should never had been ready to consider getting pregnant again. A miscarriage can be a life altering situation, and I can guarantee she never dealt with that. And a child is going to take much more love than they give at this point. She is too young to be thinking rationally at this point."

Her mother just said, "She won't go. I put her on the pill and she didn't take them. I think she wanted to get pregnant."

I'm totally shocked and I feel bad for my co-worker. I'm not saying whether or not she should have kept the baby, or if she should have taken the birth control. I'm asking... what is wrong with kids today to think that having babies in high school is something 'cool'?

Its not cool, and what kind of warped sense of reality are you idiots living in?

I was the child of a young mother. I was born before my mom's 20th birthday and my parents got married because of me. This in and of itself was my own personal birth control. Its the reason that I never wanted to get married before 25 and probably why I'm not ready to have kids. My mother was married, divorced, with 2 kids at 25. Why would anyone seek that life out?

I think its part society, but more importantly its how you raise your children. I was raised to always want more for myself... education, good paying job, etc. And I wanted this independent of a man. I always desired to be completely self sufficient. I worry these young girls have no self esteem, horrible self image, and will never overcome these issues...

Thoughts?

valentine's day More of Mrs. Jetplane's Craziness....

Ok, are you ready for more of my totally irrational worries about having a baby? Are you ready, because this one is really, really ridiculous.

I look incredibly young for my age. I'm going to turn 29 this year and I get carded on a regular basis. A couple of years ago, I was sick one weekend and went to the video store to rent some movies. One movie I rented was a foreign film and unrated, I got carded for it. I was 25.

One time I was getting my nails done, and the very sweet lady that been doing my nails looked up and asked me if I was getting my nails down for the prom that was happening that night? Uh no, I was 22.

When I was going through the airport in Chicago a couple of weeks ago, the TSA woman looked at my ID and didn't believe that I was 28. She thought I was in high school, granted I looked like crap since I was hung over as all hell, but still.... high school, are you serious?

Ok, so here's my totally irrational worry... If and when I get pregnant will people look at me and think that I'm some young, unwed mother? Granted I do wear a wedding ring, but still... will they think that I look too young to be pregnant? Will they pity me, worry about me, or just plain think that I'm a young, little girl who got herself knocked up.

Yes, I'm totally weird and crazy, but these are the thoughts that go through my head...

The one thing about good about looking young, I always joke to Mr. Jetplane that he won't have to trade me in on a younger model for a long time....

valentine's day Better Late than never, right?

Today, Mrs. Jetplane is incredibly lazy. And I don't really care.

That being said I thought I should post a pic or two of Baby C that I got to meet while I was up in Chicago a couple of weeks ago. She is such a cutie pie and so incredibly strong. I've never seen a baby under a month old that wants to hold up her own head that way and kick around like she does. She is precious and so tiny. Her she is ready to get in the car for a trip up to the northern burbs.valentine's day
Here we are at Lou's wedding shower. I can't believe I'm posting this nasty picture of myself. You wouldn't believe that I live in Florida seeing how incredibly pale I am. I need to fix that before Lou's wedding next month in ATL. Mr. Jetplane gets to attend with me. YEAH!valentine's day

And I have some upcoming posts of my recent online shopping adventures... my Lilly sweater from Rue La La arrived, a JCrew dress and shirt, and some accessories from F21. I think my UPS guy thinks I have a problem. He got to know me quite well from wedding related deliveries. He knows my dogs' name, my hubby's name, its weird right?

But lately, I arrive home after he been by. He's kinda cute too... oh Mr. Jetplane needs to come home, I'm eyeing the UPS guy.

valentine's day On a serious tip...

I just found out last night that a friend from high school and his wife's 7 month old son has been diagnosed with Down's Syndrome.

My friend is a Captain in the USMC and his wife is a SAHM with 2 adorable lil boys, they are stationed out west. And my heart goes out to them. I will admit that I saw pictures of the youngest boy a couple of months ago on their Facebook pages, and seriously questioned whether he had been diagnosed or not. It appears that he wasn't diagnosed by the doctors at the military hospital initially, the couple questioned it and the Dr. didn't see any issues. Until their 7 month appointment, he requested the tests be run. He is an otherwise healthy and very happy baby boy, but now they're left wondering and worrying about the next steps.

They want to absorb as much information about the disorder and needed therapy as possible. They are a wonderful young couple with an incredible faith. I know they will overcome any and all obstacles that this may cause, but I'm reaching out to you all for any information that I can pass along to them.

On the opposite side of this conversation, while my aunt and uncle were pregnant with my cousin the Dr. told them that she had Down's. My cousin was born, and while she appeared slightly to have the facial characteristics of a child with the syndrome, those soon passed. I'm very happy to report that she is now 24 years old and working toward a Ph.D., very far from any learning disability.

valentine's day Follow Up on My Craziness

I'm glad I'm not the only crazy lady out their shopping for her hypothetical children. Well, since I'm shown you my hypothetical "boy" nursery, some have asked what about a girl...

Well, sister that's a whole other ball of wax all together. I haven't really decided, there are so many options that I absolutely adore. But I really love(d) the pink monkey set from PB Kids. My heart sank when I saw it on clearance and all sold out. You see Mr. Jetplane and I call each other monkey, and we also call Milo monkey sometimes. Also we call our friend Mandy's lil girl a spider monkey. Wow, we're some monkey loving fools aren't we?

So, while I'm not in general a fan of overwhelming pink, this spoke to me. Actually it screamed at me. valentine's day

valentine's day I adore the chair, which you can see the arm of in this picture. I wouldn't go all bananas (get it bananas, monkey....) and put monkeys everywhere, but I just love this. I would do the bedding, chair, but probably not the drapes. I wouldn't paint the walls all pink either, its a little pepto for me and most definitely Mr. Jetplane. (oh and I wouldn't paint a monkey on the wall, maybe a light stripe)

But there you go, our hypothetical children and their hypothetical PB nursery. Now I need a hypothetical fortune to buy all this junk...

valentine's day You want to know how crazy I am?

Well, I'm about to show you. First, I'm going to preface this by making this statement.

Mrs. Jetplane is totally neurotic and I already know this. I'm a planner, a worrier, a drama queen, and a crazy lady.

My latest online shopping obsession is nursery furniture and bedding. I have no idea why, but I've been overcome with looking at it and fell madly in love with Pottery Barn kids. I've been getting the catalogs for a while, and always enjoyed looking at them. Mr. Jetplane was very interested in the Star Wars sheets, but we decided against it.

That being said, I love the idea of a Dr. Seuss room if its a boy. valentine's day I even found this... valentine's day valentine's day Which is totally over the top and not what I would do, but its completely adorable.

And no, this doesn't mean that Mrs. Jetplane is going to get knocked up right when Mr. Jetplane gets home next month, but we may be practicing (wink wink). The topic is up for discussion again once we have had our 1 year anniversary in June. I've always wanted to be married at least a year before trying to have kids, that's always been my minimum. However, I never thought my 1st year of marriage would only include living with my husband maybe 5 of 12 months. But I need to keep it in perspective, he's not deployed just simply living 11 hours away from me.
But thank you all so much for your understanding and support. Its crazy that I'm talking about this on a blog, Mr. Jetplane would kill me. He already thinks I'm a little weird when I mention things I've learned through other mil wives. I talk about you guys like I know you, and in some ways I feel like I do. My heart goes out to all of you whose husbands have recently left for deployment. You are a strong group of women, and I admire each and every one of you. I hope to be as strong when Mr. Jetplane gets deployed...

valentine's day Baby Jetplane?

valentine's day valentine's day
Well Mr. Jetplane sure likes to think so...

Yesterday we had seriously 3 conversations about having kids, and each ended with him going..."Oh I didn't think about that!"

Yeah, that's what I thought....

One conversation went something like this...

Mr. Jetplane: "So I was thinking we need to be pregnant by Nov!"

Mrs. Jetplane: "Are you freaking insane?"

Mr. Jetplane: "No, we'll be in NC and I'll be going through training and it would be a perfect time."

Mrs. Jetplane: "Uh, didn't you realize that I'll be pregnant for 9 months, and during that time, you'll finish training and we may have to move to Idaho or England. So I'll be really pregnant, perhaps alone, with 2 dogs, and moving. Uh no."

Mr. Jetplane : "Oh I didn't think about that."

Mrs. Jetplane "Yeah, I didn't assume you did. I would like to have some sense of security, well as much as I can with the military. I would like to be at the same station throughout my pregnancy. We need to figure out insurance..."(right now I have military insurance, but I don't go to the Dr. on base. I also still get insurance from my job on their optical and dental.)

Mr. Jetplane "Ok, well I'm heading into Circuit City, I'll call you back."

So we had 2 more conversations that went similar, except Mister Sweetness informed me that.... "You know you're getting old... ha.. ha.."

Yeah, jackass I know I'm getting old, so are you. I'm only a month a 6 days older than him, and he likes to make me feel like a cougar all the time... annoying much?

Back to the point, we are seriously talking about kids, and this seriously makes me sick to my stomach, and I'm not even knocked up yet.

We want to have kids, but when is the right time. I don't want to be pregnant alone, I want to feel some security, and I'll be honest its scares the living crap out of me.

We'll be moving to NC in August/September and he'll start classes in October. Once he starts we'll be there for 9 months, and then we'll either stay in NC, move to Idaho or England. And he's then technically deployable. So when or when, do the Jetplanes have a baby?

I want to plan a nursery, I don't want to move have to move across the country (or world) during my pregnancy, and I to have developed a group of female friends. Right now, in P'cola I have a small, small handful of friends. Everyone has moved to their next base, and I'm still here working away, making money, without the hubby. Its tough, but its what is best for our family. It made no sense to move to be with him in Texas for 4 months, just to turn around and move again. But now, with his knee, he'll be home in Florida with me until August when he leaves for survival school and then its off to NC.

Oh so much to figure out... I want to have kids, as much as I act like I don't, I do, but it scares the living crap out of me. I'll be 29 this year, I might not be good at math, but that's pretty close to 30 and I'm concerned about my ability to have kids. Not that I have any real medical conditions that make me think that's an issue, its just this internal worry I've always had. I've been on the pill for 10 years now, and that concerns me too. I know everyone says its not an issue, but I worry, that's what I do.

Oh boy... so much to think about and plan. But that didn't stop me from looking up kids furniture and bedding last night... What am I doing?
Also Mr. Jetplane thinks we're going to have 2 boys. Lord help me, I can't have 2 boys. I already have 2 male dogs, and need a girl. Estrogen is most definitely needed in my house.

valentine's day I love you all, but this is getting out of hand...

I mentioned a few posts ago that every where I turn someone is trying to get pregnant, is pregnant, or just had a baby.

I jokingly said that every week someone is announcing they are pregnant. Well, 2 more couples added to the list this weekend. Mr. Jetplane called me and gave me the news.

The conversation went like this....

Mr. J: "Hi babe, I got some news for you."
Me: "Okay, what is it?"
Mr. J: "Are you sitting down?"
Me: "Yes, what is it?"
Mr. J: "Ummm..."
Me: "You're not going to tell me someone else is pregnant are you?"
Mr. J: "Yes... The H's are pregnant (these are Mr. Jetplane's roommates in Texas, right now)."
Me: "That's great they've been trying to get pregnant, which means they have totally been getting it on in the next bedroom... Ha Ha."
Mr. J: "I know don't remind me."
Me: "How far along is she?"
Mr. J: " I don't know, am I suppose to ask, that's kinda personal?"
Me: "Yes, that is a standard question. So who else is pregnant"
Mr. J: "My cousin and his wife (one of Mr. Jetplane's groomsmen and Mr. JP was his cousin's BM in their wedding in August)."
Me: "Wow they didn't waste anytime, did they?"
Mr. J: "Well they've been together forever. They started dating right before I moved to Indy."
Me: "Yeah, well we started dating a couple of months after you moved to Indy. So we've been together about as long as they have."
Mr. J "Oh I guess you're right!"
Me: "I seriously feel like my uterus is in a vice."
Mr. J: "You're what's in a what?"
Me: "My UTERUS is in a vice. So much pressure..."
Mr. J: "I know my grandma and my dad asked me yesterday if you're pregnant yet and when we're going to get pregnant."
Me: "Please don't talk about my uterus with other people."
Mr. J: "Okay honey... We're not in a rush, considering we don't even live together right now, I sure hope you're not pregnant."

I do love and adore all the people that are having babies. I love babies, but I am feeling an overwhelming pressue to start wanting kids. Seriously if I find out one more person is pregnant today, I'm going to scream.

XOXO

valentine's day Mrs. Jetplane has been a bad girl...

I went to Target yesterday during my lunch hour and I spent $55. There I said it, its out in the open the spending fast has been broken. I feel so ashamed, no that's actually a lie, I don't feel ashamed but I suppose I should.

I went there to buy Baby C a little cotton onesie that I'm going to have embroidered with her initials on it, that was the plan at least. Mama J adores brown and pink so I found this adorable 100% long sleeve striped onesie (they live in Chicago, so its cold up there).

Well then I found a pair of J.Crew inspired peep toes for $8.00 clearance, so I bought them. I'll take a pic because I can't find them online. I mean come on $8.00, they are practically giving them away right?

Then I went to home decor and they had their seasonal home decor 30% off and I had to buy a set of these (well they were the only ones left). They are going in the guest bathroom, which is nautical/beach looking.
valentine's day

Oh and I also bought a set of t-shirt sheets in lime green. The master bedroom is navy, white, and hints of lime green. Mr. Jetplane has t-shirt sheets on his bed in Texas and says he wanted them at home. So we'll see how it goes, if I don't like them, well they'll get put to use on the air mattress.

I'm kinda a sheet snob, and I require them to be really soft. I personally enjoy an all white bed, but soon learned after we moved in together, that wouldn't be in the plan for us. You see Mr. Jetplane's body emits some weird stuff in his sleep and he literally stains the sheets. My beautiful high thread count white sheets, I bleach the crap out of them but it got to be really annoying. My mom said it was metals and impurities in his skin, I don't know what it was other than totally disgusting.

So I'll give you the update on the t-shirt sheets. I have to admit, while they do keep me warm, they remind me of shacking up with my old college boyfriend, he had jersey sheets.

So there... My shopping is all out in the open. But I promise to be good the rest of the month....

valentine's day Getting Knocked Up...

No not me, but it seems like everyone else. Friends from home, from college, from past jobs, when I say everyone I mean everyone is having babies. Honestly, every other day I'm hearing about being pregnant, having a baby, or trying to have a baby.

I am so unbelievably happy for them, don't get me wrong. But, it makes me really think, what the heck is wrong with me. I still feel too young to have kids, and I'm 28. I felt weird saying that when I was home Thanksgiving holding my cousin's baby, since she's 24.

I still feel awkward when people tell me they are trying to have kids. I still giggle to myself, b/c all the people I knew were always trying to "not" get pregnant.

First time I really thought that I was ready for kids was a couple of weeks before our wedding. I thought I was ready to get pregnant and have kids within the first 6 to 9 months after getting married. Well, that time is now, and needless to say not living with Mr. Jetplane makes it a little tough to get knocked up.

But that's ok, because we're not ready, well I'm not ready. I'm scared of it all. I'm scared of getting sick. I have a weird stomach and I get nauseous all the time. And I know when I'm pregnant, I'll have morning sickness, mid day sickness, middle of the night sickness, all of it. And I'm sorry, but I'm totally freaked about something growing inside my body. Maybe I'm totally immature about it, but its weird. I always think of the scene in Spaceballs when the little alien jumps out of the guy's body and proceeds to do a song and dance. (I told you I'm immature about this...) I'm also freaked out about feeding a baby with milk my body makes. Its weird and I'm not comfortable with it.

I'm sorry if I've offended anyone. I know a lot of women are actively trying to get pregnant, and I hope to someday be there with you all. But, as you can see, I'm not quite mentally prepared for this huge and miraculous gift of life. People continually reassure me that this will all change when I'm pregnant.

I hope I'm not the only one out there that feels this way. And if I am, well, all I can say is... I wasn't wrong to think I'm a complete weirdo.

valentine's day Sweet Home Chicago...

Well, its not my home city but its close enough...

I booked my tickets today for February to head back to Chicago for a weekend of fun and a little craziness.

One of my best friends Lou (nickname to protect the innocent) is getting married in ATL very soon (yeah!) and her shower and bach party are going to be in Chicago. She from there but now living with her soon to be hubby in ATL. I get to see her and all our friends that I haven't seen since my wedding. (double YEAH!)

Also, my friend J is having her lil girl this month (hopefully in the next week) and I get to stay with her and see her new lil baby J. Oh I am so excited.

I leave in exactly 30 days. I can't wait.
